AIW Preparation…..

My two kittens Nightmare and Sophia are preparing for Alice in Wonderland to come out.

I didn’t put this on her face, animal testing is bad (haha), she rubbed against a soft pastel drawing.

She’s Turning Cheshire!

Now for Sophia:

The March Hare in the flesh!

They are mad and absolutely bonkers but I love them….

GIANT Linger Giveaway!

Linger Cover LargeIn Maggie Stiefvater’s Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other.  Now, in Linger, they must fight to be together. For Grace, this means defying her parents and keeping a very dangerous secret about her own well-being. For Sam, this means grappling with his werewolf past … and figuring out a way to survive into the future. Add into the mix a new wolf named Cole, whose own past has the potential to destroy the whole pack.  And Isabelle, who already lost her brother to the wolves … and is nonetheless drawn to Cole. At turns harrowing and euphoric, Linger is a spellbinding love story that explores both sides of love — the light and the dark, the warm and the cold — in a way you will never forget. Comes out in stores everywhere July 20th. Pre-order here. Enter to win an advanced review copies of LINGER, Sisters Red, The Dead-Tossed Waves, and The Replacement on Maggie’s blog

Tim Burton

I watched these earlier today. I heard 9 sucked but heard great things about Coraline. I have to admit that I liked Coraline better but 9 had an interesting concept. I’m not going to give anything away about the movies, even though no one reads this blog anyways, but if you have to pick between the two then go for Coraline.

Smurfy. Warning: This treatment could turn your skin blue. Researchers have found that Brilliant Blue G (BBG), a close relative of the common food dye, Blue No. 1, may protect neurons in mammals with spinal cord injuries. After such injuries, ATP, which facilitates signaling in neurons, can flood the area around the injured spinal cord and send neurons into a firing frenzy. That leads to inflammation and irreversible tissue damage. But BBG can cross the highly selective blood-brain barrier and block the spinal neuron’s ATP receptors; researchers report online 27 July in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. When administered 15 minutes after an acute spinal cord injury, BBG prevented inflammation and improved motor recovery in rats. But, as you can see, there was one side effect.

I have to admit, cool side effects but bad beginning. I hate anything about the spinal cord; for some reason it creeps me out. On the other hand, you can’t tell me that  isn’t one awesome looking mouse.

Ever walk over to the shelf and take forever to figure out which book you want to read? Back and forth? Up and down? And still you are plagued by which book you will choose and then when you do pick one you feel as though you are betraying the many other books as you walk away with one. Well no longer do you have to leave them alone to wonder when you will return for them. You can stay with them and read your choosen book.  I love this concept of curling up with whole bookshelf rather then just one book.

What’s a Lune to do?

So I’m sitting here, can’t sleep and cold; yet tired. Coincidence, I think not. Reading always helps me sleep so I’m picking between some of the many books I got for Christmas.

This is probably going to be one of the best books published in 2010. Or just maybe…..EVER!!!!! Lewis Carroll is a literary genius, so I’ll be looking forward to getting this book for my birthday. (I’m not a fan of pink but the cover is awesome!)
Pre-order it at:

Really People? (Good for a few laughs though...) -

I read every one of these and some were a tad ridiculous, though were good for laughs. If I hadn’t watched some of these as a child I would be a total wimp. I was watching Tales From the Crypt Keeper as a child of four from under the couch. So carry on and check out this list.
